  EX XDCAM Timeline to ProRes 422

  I’ve created a monster. Been editing a 30 min. doc in Ex 1080p/25 timeline. In the beginning of the project, no problem. But now that I have three video tracks and six audio tracks I am constantly having to render and even then the timeline is very sluggish and sometimes stops.

  As per suggestions from a couple of wonderful people on the COW, I copied and pasted the edited clips into a ProRes 422 sequence. Things seem to be going much faster now with only an occasional green line above clips. My question is: am I loosing anything, is there a downside to continuing this project and exporting the final in Prores?
