  Codec Not Found Error

  Hi – I’m using a Sony HVR V1U and I’m trying to set up a new program – I keep getting :(!) Codec not found. You may be using a compression
  type without the corresponding hardware card.
  when I set up a new HDV project – when I try to import old HDV footage into a program I get the same message and no video only audio the video is all white – Any ideas?

  Sounds like you need to reinstall FCP.
