    FCP 7.0.2

I recently experienced a rather strange phenomenon where my canvas display occasionally would go red with a note that said “Display unavailable. Close and reopen window to restore.” But, that doesn’t actually work. I would always have to quit out of FCP and relaunch. And even then it took a few tries before it would open that sequence. It would say “Out of Memory”. So, I went about undoing a number of nest that I had to try and reduce the memory drag. At first, this seemed to help. But eventually I started getting the same screen warning. I’ve never seen this before in the three years plus that I’ve been working with FCP. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you haven’t already, trash FCP prefs and repair permissions. I’ve never run across that issue myself.
