Final Cut timecode break cuts… how to stop em?
My final cut is set up to cut what I’m importing from the tape every time the camera cuts rather than importing it as one big block. It’s usually convenient.
However, right now, it thinks the camera cuts when it doesn’t… right in the middle of a couple’s wedding vows! It’s cuts out a second of their vows. I’ve tried rewinding and reimporting just those few seconds several times, it cuts each time thinking there’s a cut there. It’s ON the tape, the tape plays it fine, but importing wants to cut there. How do I change this?

Capture that portion with your settings changed to “Warn After Capture” about timecode breaks OR (probably a better option, should you need to recapture the project at some future point) dub that portion of the tape to another tape.
