    Hi Guys,

My capture settings are setup so FCP captures 16tracks of audio. I only need two. The rest have no sound at all, but I can’t change the capture preset.

Can anyone tell me how to change it. I’ve tried changing it the capture preset window, but the pull down menu has no other option. See pics.

Anyone had this problem and solved it?

    Cheers,

    Grant

You specify the number of audio channels in the Log & Capture window. Top right hand corner of the pop-up, hit the Clip Settings tab and then enter the desired number of audio tracks.

just to add if your running final cut 6.x, there was a problem where it would reset to all audio tracks again, very annoying but fixed in final cut 7.
