Capture Scratch
Posted by Farshad Raoufi on May 5, 2010 at 4:47 pmHello,
I want to reformat my mac, so I am transferring all my files over to my external hd, but when I come to move the clips from my “Capture Scratch” I get the following message :
“The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0).”
Can anyone help me out?

May 5, 2010 at 9:27 pmSounds like something wrong with the files in there. Do they play OK? MIght want to try a software program to clone that drive with. Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper… both free just google them.

May 5, 2010 at 9:48 pmcan it be because my external harddrive is ms-dos and not os x? is that why it says it cant be moved? because i can move the .mov files anywhere on the computer itself

May 5, 2010 at 9:53 pmHave you looked at the file permissions? Do a “Get Info” on the containing folder, set them to Read & Write and apply that the the enclosed files. That might work.
Also make sure you are doing a copy and not a move when you transfer them to the second drive.
