Are audio edits saved when exporting OMF files to ProTools? The last audio mixer I used worked with Logic and when he imported the omf files all my audio edits were gone.

An OMF has all the clips as edited in your timeline. There are options both on export, and with some DAWs on import, to remove dissolves.

So yes all your edits should be there with the clips + handles on the tracks as you edited them. don’t know how Logic handles OMFs. As it is a music DAW it may behave differently to post tools like Fairlight & ProTools.

[Mi Chaing] “Are audio edits saved when exporting OMF files to ProTools?”

Yes…absolutely. Otherwise it’d be useless. I send OMFs to my audio guys 2-3 times a week. Preserves the edits, the level changes, the dissolves, the rubberbanding…everything.

I have exported for people using Logic too, and they had no problems. So it sounds like something isn’t being done right here.
