    Hi
Trying to import some mpeg4 footage shot on a Sanyo exactiTH1 into fcp.
I’ve used streamclip to convert it and it comes up 29.97 fps so obviously NTSC.
What’s the best way to convert this to PAL
The other half of my footage was shot xdcam 720p and after a bit of stuffing around got that in fine.
Thanks for the help in advance
    Marc

do it on the outboard end in compressor. Or on the inboard end.
Are you trying to edit MP4 in FCP? What format did you convert it to?

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

Are you ripping a standard NTSC DVD?

Mpeg Streamclip will convert to DV PAL.

However you can convert to a Pal HD by selecting 50 fields or frames

Hi Marc, just interested, as I have a similar problem; What conversion settings did you use in compressor to get it to PAL?

    thanks

    Hi Dylan
I Spoke up to early. I used compressor at work and responded after I played the quicktime there but got home and it imported into fcp unrendered so I used chris tompkins settings from the same thread using streamclip and all is good now.
Sorry about taking so long to respond but that job was put aside for a while.
    Cheers
    Marc
