I recently created a lower-third key in Boris 3D that I wanted to copy and then make slight change to in a new sequence. I double-clicked to launch it into Boris, made the change, hit Apply, and nothing happened. It will not make the change in the sequence. The old CG is still there. Is there something else I have to do to change a CG in the sequence?

Did you double click the original, or the copy? A lot of times I think I am modifying one clip and actually be working on another. Could you be doing this?

I double-clicked the copy because I didn’t want to change the original in the first timeline. Other CGs I’ve use allow me to copy/change a title. Doesn’t Boris or FCP?

I just duplicated your situation on my editor (FCP 7 and SL) and was able to change the copied Boris 3D text just fine. You might want to trash your preferences, re-boot your system and try again.

Try deleting the preferences for Title 3D. The preference file is
    named “com.borisfx.Title 3D”.

It is located at: Macintosh HD> Users> > Library> Preference
