I’m new to using the Panasonic HPX170P – and clearly, I shot in the wrong format.

    My clip is 960X720
Codec: DVCPRO HD (720p60) at Most Quality
    Frame Rate: 23.98 fps
    Average Data Rate 5619k/sec (234k/frame)

When I play the clip in FCP it plays like it’s in slow motion. I’ve tried using Cinema Tools to convert the file to 23.98, but it doesn’t change anything. I tried the DVCPRO HD Frame Converter, but it says “The selected media file cannot be processed by this tool. Only DVCPRO HD 720p 59.94 fps media files are supported.

I don’t need the audio – just the video, to play at the listed frame rate of 23.98! Any help would be amazing. I’m using FCP 5.1.4. I’ve scoured these forums and many other posts but can’t find any solution.

Import the footage without the remove duplicate frames checkbox checked.
or you may have set the frame rate you shot in the wrong menu on the camera.
