Quicktime Export Problem – Aspect Issue
Okay, weird situation:
1) Imported 1442 x 975 quicktime into Final Cut. Setup custom video audio settings to match.
2) When I export a quicktime from the project sequence it is screwing up the aspect ration. I tell it to use the same settings on export and it does….but the video is squished horizontally with this black edges on the side. So the exported quicktime is technically the right size, but the picture is smashed horiz or stretched vertically. however you say it.
Is there anyway to make Final Cut leave the aspect alone?

Hy Kyler,
Is your sequence Square Pixels?
If not, probably QT is distorting the clip.
By default QT display everything as SQ pixels.

It was not actually….so i changed it to that. do i have to reimport the quicktimes?
