Audio not synching up with 29.97 and 59.94 versions
Hello,
I’m working on a short animated show for broadcast and I’m running into problems with getting final picture to the audio post house without any hang ups.We give them a PhotoJPG version of the show at 29.97fps. I use an AIFF of the dialogue and an AIFF of the music that I export from my true 24fps timeline, line up the video and audio tracks, and export the PhotoJPG at 29.97. The guys at the audio post house use this version to mix the sound while we lock picture.
Once picture is locked I do a 59.94 Apple ProRes 422 version for them. I do an easy set-up use the Apple ProRes codec, HD, and set my timeline to 1080i29.97. I export the show from the true 24fps timeline and drop it into the 1080i29.97 timeline then export a same as source quicktime.
As far as I can tell everything should be okay, but the guys at the audio post house are saying that the audio tracks is coming out of synch with the video track, and by the end of the show it’s out by 7-8 frames.
I’ve compared the photoJPG 29.97 version and the 1080i29.97 version and even though the timecode and length of each version are the same, the picture is out of synch. Can anyone shed some light on this problem for me?
Thanks,
Peter
