I did some color correction so I think this might be part of the problem, that it isn’t rendering a good enough quality. When I just have the scrubber sitting on the clip it looks normal (as it does when exported) but when I play it, it’s darker. It’s never happened before. Why could this be? How do I fix it?

FCP RT reduces the quality of a clip in order to play it, which is fine for the editing process. Before rendering above the timeline is probably a Green bar which means you are seeing a preview quality. For CC you need to see the true quality so you may need to render the clip before previewing, or set the RT to Video Quality to High and Frame Rate to Dynamic, the image will have more of a stutter but video quality is preserved.

Also to truly judge your CC you have to have an external monitor, the canvas is not an accurate display of quality.
