  • Best way to sync audio workflow?

Posted by Greg Burke on March 27, 2010 at 12:12 am

Hey Guys I have a good question. I want to know if I am doing a workflow the correct way. When I get a project shot say the HVX-200 and I have everything on a HD, but the sound was recorded on a separate device. this is how I do it.

“Take 1 Footage” in the timeline

“take 1 audio (from a separate file)” in the timeline

    sync via the slate

    export QT movie

is this the most effective way to sync audio?

    Thanks again guys

Just out of curiosity, why are you exporting at all? Don’t you want to work with the file?

select the two parts, lock the sync ( ⌘L ), and then drag the clip into a bin. I think that works

Hey, wait, did it work ok? I’m not in the studio.
