  how to change the frame rate of a movie file

  Hi everyone,
  i have a digitalized 8 mm scan, which is basically a bmp-sequence dumped in an avi-container.
  But by accident it is set to 19 fps. Does anyone know what is the best way to speed it up to 24 fps and not lose to much quality?
  Each time when i try to convert it to 24, the movie has the same duration, but plays it with 24fps, so it’s still a bit in slow motion.

  You should be able to do this with either Cinema Tools or Compressor.

  Open the file in Cinema Tools and use the “Conform” button to change it to 23.98 or 24.

  If you can’t open it in CT, then bring it into Compressor, select the output codec you want, then change the frame rate. In the bottom of the “Frames” tab and check the box for “So source frames play at 23.98fps”.
