  Sony JH-3/IO HD/no device control

  At my wits end…
  I have a Sony JH-3 HDCAM deck going into an AJA IO HD box into FCP on a Power Mac G5 with two Power PC 1.8 GHz processors and 4 GB RAM.
  The deck and IO HD are connected via a RS-422 cable, the IOHD and computer are connected via a firewire 800 cable.
  I’m getting video signal through, no problem.
  I can’t control the deck from FCP.
  Sony says the device control is always ready. AJA support tried a few things, changing settings, restarting, all the way down to trashing prefs – no dice.
  I have a ton of footage to capture for a big project and can’t start.
  Is Power PC processors not enough? What is wrong here?

  Nevermind.
  Plugged into the wrong port.
  Silly.
