Smooth line/dot crawl and GOP frame artifacts by morphing frames?
Looking for a technique (After Effects or Final Cut Pro) or (free?) plug-in to do the following. Here is a link to a movie showing what I need to do: https://tinyurl.com/ye3ovvr
It is a close-up of some footage I “fixed”. I partially fixed some ugly line/dot crawl, gop frames and other artifacts on CG animations by dropping four TMTS Smart Noise Reduction filters right on top of each other. The result is several frames adjacent to each other “morphing” into each other. (It is not at all like motion blur or a frame dissolve, to be sure, neither of which I want.)
On the left is the raw animation (repeated at normal speed, followed by slow speed, looped). On the right side is the morphing. If you study the lower halves you’ll begin to see the morphing. The TMTS Smart Noise Reduction is not intended for this, very slow to render, and doesn’t give me control over the effect that I need a lot more of. Any ideas welcome. Thank you!!
