  Eliminating beeps without rendering auido?

  Hey Gang,

  I have searched for this particular answer and have not found it, so forgive me if you felt like you answered it ad nauseum.

  I recently acquired a ton of great footage to edit with, however the problem is all of the clips contain 22050hz audio (!!) which of course isn’t compatible with the sequence settings and produce that wonderful “BEEP BEEP BEEP”. Otherwise, the clips are h.264 29.97 and fine. Is there a way to work with these clips without rendering every single one of them once placed in the timeline? Thanks

  They all need to be converted to an edit codec anyway as FCP doesn’t handle h264 properly as an edit codec.

  So when you use Compressor to convert them all to ProRes, convert the audio sample rate to 48khz and job done. No renders picture or sound and no more beeps.
