    Hello all

I don’t know if anyone has come across this problem in the past. At the place I work, all ingested material and Tx Masters contain audio in tracks 3+4. As usual, sometime these just contain M+E and sometimes they have a duplicate of audio channels 1+2. Now sometimes after exporting, channels 3+4 get mixed with 1+2 and they are slightly out of phase. The exported file sounds just fine when played back within FCP but it sounds “funny” when reproduced by Quicktime – or anything that uses the Quicktime engine (DVD Studio Pro, etc.). To confirm that, I’ve tried disabling the second stereo track through “Movie Properties” within Quicktime. Also, deleting channels 3-4 and re-exporting, “fixes” the issue.

The FCP ingest and exports settings remain the same and are:

    Video: DVCPRO-50,PAL
Audio: 24-bit Integer, Little Endian, Stereo, 48Khz

Would anyone know a fix to this? Currently this has proved to be quite a pain, and it messes up all the proxy files that are made from FCS as well.
It might be also worth noting that the DOWNMIX button, from within the Audio Mixer window, is never enabled.

    Thanks all.
