    Hi,
This is my first time posting, please bear with me. I searched the archives as best I could and could not find this problem addressed.

I have a Canon Vixia HFS100. I was able to download all the footage through Log and Transfer in Final Cut Pro 6.06.

The footage playback is perfectly fine, however, when the playhead is stopped, the frame appears in the canvas and viewer as blank (white) instead of a still frame of the video.

This isn’t the end of the world, but it makes fine editing a bit difficult.

Has anyone encountered this and found a solution? or have any ideas what might be going on?

(Also, if it helps, I’m using a MacbookPro, 2.66 ghz core 2 duo, 4gb ram)
    Thank you!

    Kate

In either the viewer or canvas windows go up to the top and you’ll see 3 drop down menus in the middle. Choose the one on the right and make sure RGB is checked. There’s a KB shortcut that sometimes gets activated unknowingly that changes the RGB setting to Alpha.
