broadcast levels using script or adjustment layers
Hi All, just wanting to know if there is some adjustment layer preset or script that people have been using that will lower the brightness and saturation of the comp to broadcast spec (PAL).
What i want to do really is have a single filter or script that will automatically round off and reduce all values that go over broadcast spec on vector scope.(bit like the Broadcast spec plugin)
example : If a red graphics is peaking in one area it will just lower that red colour that is peaking ,without reducing or desaturating all the other reds in the picture.
We know about adjusting brightness and contrast levels on each layer and adjustment layers.(adjusting output whites from 255 to 235 etc..)
We have used the broadcast filter that comes with AFX (not the best plugin doesnt blend very well)Any ideas?

AE isn’t able to read RGB values on a per pixel or group of pixels however that group may be defined other than using histogram with Levels. Therefore this precludes the existence of any automated adjusment to suit your needs.
The best alternative is to eyehball the Info Window for RGB values as you move the cursor over the Comp Window. Then use Hue/Saturation to select a group of colours and then desaturating those colours.
