  So I have the EX1 Sony – which imports MPEG.

  When editing in FCP it often required rendering when I stack clips… or add filters

  Is there a way to avoid rendering with this codec?

  OK.. should I generally do this with all my media? I have a HVX200 too.

  Should I convert to Pro-Res 422 (HQ) or just the standard?

  So shoudnt I convert BOTH the EX1 and the HVX200 to ProRes 422?
