RED ONE project edited in _p proxies. How do I finish?
I cut my RED ONE project using the lower res _P files. I need to out put to compressor and then to DVD studio. So far, the quality has been low and with artifacts if I burn a quicktime movie or a DVD . I need to connect to at least the _h files. For one all my zoomed shots are low quality in the lower res _p proxies. I am not the person to color correct. I know there is a way to set for 2K in color. However color correction will have to come later and by someone other than myself. For now I must get a higher quality DVD. Although DVD is standard resolution, I am sure using a 2K or at least a 1K project send to compressor and then DVD studio will give me the quality a need for now.

Hi Ken,
Clipfinder is the software to do this. https://www.daun.ch/software/
You can import your XML into Clipfinder and then use the Run Conform on FCP XML tool to create a new edit referencing the _F, _H or _M proxies.
It sounds like this DVD isn’t your final delivry, so _M proxies at 1K will do the trick if you don’t need the highest quality.There is a detailed manual on the website which talks you through these steps in more detail.

Thank you again Alex. The title of my film is “Dixie Times”. I had to finance out of pocket, which meant selling everything I owned. The run time is 1:38. There is a trailer on youtube titled- Rednecks Deluxe Dixie Times.
Despite this label, it is a very well written project.
