  • Conforming different frame sizes

I’m building a showreel, but have have video files in different formats and frame sizes.
The material i will be using is in:

    1) 720×405
    2) 1024×576
    3) 2k

I want to conform all the clips the same before putting it into FCP, but am wondering what to conform to?
I was going to use ProRes 422, but am unsure of what frame size to conform to.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free.

    Thanks

    Hi Reece

How much of each size do you have? If it’s mostly 2K you might consider up-scaling the SD stuff if it’s only for a few shots – Compressor does a pretty decent job of up-scaling.

If not, I’d keep it SD. This being a showreel it’s likely to be delivered online or on DVD anyway, so having it HD isn’t a necessity.

    All the best,

Most of the footage is HD. I will be delivering online and DVD.

I will give the uprez a try
