Export from FCP 6.06 to Digital Betacam
Hi!
I have been asked for the best settings to export to Digital Betacam 625/50 something edited with FCP 6.06. I´ve never exported to that particular format so I was wondering someone who has had to do so would be so kind to enlighten me on the export settings to use in order to achive the best results.
Since we don´t have a AJA card we are going to export to a disk and then give that disk to a company which will export that file to the digital betacam tape.
Should I export the file to a quicktime movie, using quicktime conversion, and an uncompressed 10 bit pal setting or would another setting be the best for this issue?
I´m also asked to keep the luminance levels at a maximun value of 700 mv. How can I check this in FCP? Is there any filter I can apply which will allow me to insert the luminance parameters they ask me for?
Also, do you know which bars and tone from FCP offers bars at 75% and a tone of 1khz? All of them? None of them? How can I get bars at 75%?
And then we get to the audio issue. I´m requiered to keep audio peaks to a maximun of 12dBm… How can I check this? Any filter to apply here?
How should I export the audio so that I have in channel 1 and 2 music and voice over and in channel 3 and 4 music and fx to suit the digital betacam tape best? Should the sound go along with the image file or should I export each sound channel separately?
Thank you, before hand, on your help. I´ts quite urgent so I would apreciate any help as soon as possible.
