FCP7 suddenly slows down macbook pro
Hi there,
Does anyone know why my FCP7 has just decided to play up?
It has been working beautifully for months, but last night when I opened the software it took longer than usual to set up. Then once opened, the macbook pro’s clock stops for 3 seconds at a time. When I click on any button it takes up to 8 seconds to respond and when I close the application this slowness continues (until I restart the mac). It happens also when I try to open FCP with a project file.
This bringing my macbook pro to its knees only happens with the Final Cut application.
I have tried repairing my disk utilities and then deleting then reinstalling the entire studio, but it is still happening and I am at a loose end!
I have a drop in meeting with an Apple store booked for next week but I really need to get this working as soon as I can! Can anyone help??Many thanks,

Did you trash the PREFERENCES? That clears up a lot of things.
The PREFERENCE MANAGER from https://www.digitalrebellion.com does this for you. And simply deleting the app won’t trash the prefs.
