Problem with .m2t Files. PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi,
I’m having major problems with .m2t files that I copied from a hard drive recorder to my Macbook Pro that I hope to edit in Final Cut Pro.
The original files were shot in HDV format (1440 X 1080).
I want to bring the files, most of which are around 2GB in size, into Final Cut Pro 6 without losing quality.
So far, I have tried using MPEG Streamclip and HandBrake.MPEG Streamclip seemed to work initially, but I found, when playing the files back, that there were long sections of the clips that were frozen. The audio would still play, but the image was frozen.
It seems that HandBrake can convert the files, but there seems to be a great loss in quality, as there are only 2 formats I can convert to, and both of them are lower resolution.
If anyone can offer any help with this, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thank you.
