  Merging Clips and Audio (With a catch)

  Heyo All,

  I’m trying to merge my video and some separate audio recorded on an external device. I’m familiar with the “Merge Clips” function, and would like to sync the two separate files (video and audio) using in points.

  Here’s the tricky part… my video tracks already have (inferior) audio from the camera in them, so when I try to merge, the final audio track is a jumbled mess of the two. Is there any way to get final cut to recognize I need it to take JUST the video? If not, what would be the best way to go about deleting and replacing the audio?

  I’m not sure what you are after, but you can (batch) remove audio tracks before starting to work on them.

  But a warning, you cannot undo this…
  So if the ugly audio is needed for syncing, you’re out of luck…
