    Hi,

I am currently building a logo motion graphic. I want to build the logo in Cinema 4D 10, animate camera sweeps and lights, then export the images and camera/light data to After Effects 7. There I will use the camera data with Particular, Lux and 3D Invigorator models. I have put the Cinema 4D plugin into my After Effects plugins folder. I am very new to Cinema 4D. This is the first time I’ve ever attempted something like this and found no tutorials on Lynda, and only the basic PDF that comes with C4D. I would be really grateful if anyone can give me any tips or point me towards a comprehensive tutorial dealing with C4D/AE intergration.

    Many thanks,

    Chris

    Hi,

In render settings make sure you have under the “Save” section “Compositing Project File” checkbox ticked and After Effects selected from the drop down menu. Also for the 3D data to be saved check the boxes next to “3D” and “Relative”. Make sure you have a path also defined. Now when you click save you can save as a *.aec file which you can load into After Effects with the 3D data intact. I have only myself did this once but it worked flawlessly for me.

Some video tutorials can be found here
