  • Wrong Part of Source Clip When I Export

I have a Final Cut sequence that behaves very oddly when I export it. It is a montage with clips from many different projects in it. When I export it to a QT clips from one project play the wrong part of the source clip. When I go back to Final Cut it plays fine in the sequence but always plays the source clip about 8 seconds too early when I export. The rest of the exported QT always plays fine. Has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions?

Are the clips named properly and do they match the names of the QT movies they reference? i.e, not untitiled 1, 2, 3 etc.? I could see where this would present a problem like this maybe?

Might try trashing all renders and re rendering.. or copy and paste the clips to a new sequence, trash the renders and re render…

Yep, the names all match up. I tried your second thought about copy and pasting and re-rendering with no luck. I had to export the original clip and re-insert it in all the places it was featured. This took a while but it worked. Hopefully I won’t encounter this again.
