Photoshop Logo jaggy edges
I had a graphic artis create a logo for a local TV show I produce. I had her make it at 300 dpi 2175 by 1125 pixels. (Made in photoshop) I created an open with a close up of the logo with the space in-between the letters cropping video clips for a few seconds, then the logo zooms out to revel itself, (a common effect I have seen on TV) My problem is when zoomed into the logo I have jaggy edges because the rez. on the logo is to low. My question is do I need to have the logo up rezed a ton, or do I only up rez the part I am zoomed into and fake the zoom out, or is there something else?
My equipment is:
2×3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 14 gig ram
FCP studio 3
Kona LHe

How are you monitoring? How does it look in external monitor? The first questions to ask when we hear complaints of “jaggies”.

As they say “There are many ways to skin a cat.”
IMO best solution: Get a vector (.eps, .ai) version of the logo made and do your “zoom” in Motion or After Effects (Motion only likes .ai)
