  Export settings

  I am working with some mixed sd and hd footage, most of the footage is hd, so the time line is set up for 16:9 1920×1080 prores 422. I need to export this time line an burn it to a dvd. What will be the best setting for this, and will look good as well since it will be down converted to sd? The footage is Dvcpro50, HDV, DV.

  Not an easy question to answer about “best settings” without more info… how long is the sequence? CBR settings are best at a high bit rate usually.

  Of course it won’t look as good as the HD, you’re down converting it to SD. Doesn’t mean it will look bad for SD though.

  Hi Jesse,
  If you go to end in SD, edit in SD.
  You go to destroy your SD footage with the Upscaling-downscaling-MPEG-2 conversion.
  Edit in an SD sequence. Set “Render in High Precision” and “Motion Rendering: BEST” and export Prores.
