I am trying to clean up a project that has two sets of P@ clips on different drives, with identical names. Is there an easy way to rename 100 clips? Does it make sense to re-import the P2 files again? Any other approaches?

Are they the SAME media files? Because P2 is supposed to have unique file names so that you wouldn’t run into a duplicate name.

Have an assistant do it for you. No, you have to manually change the name…preferrably some sort of description, then either use the RENAME function in FCP (PREFERRED), or do it on the finder level, and reimport the clips. Best to do it in FCP and rename the files to match the clips.

Looking for the EASY button? Editing doesn’t have an Easy button for many many things.

Is it the same exact media? Why not trash one and save the other?
