  hd to sd project

  OK guys and gals. . . still new at this final cut pro 🙂 Looking the best way to set up my final cut 6.
  I’m editing projects- :30 commercials using P2 hd 720/30 footage and my final output will be quicktime SD file 720/480. Should i set my project up to edit in HD and then output to SD? Just want to get the best final quality i can.

  Edit in HD. Export a self contained QT file. Take that into Compressor and compress to the flavor of SD that you want. ProRes SD, DV50, Uncompressed SD.
