Great! I recived yet another dysfunctional mpeg2! ;-9 (Hate that format)

Client wants me to convert it from 50i to 25i.. That’s all the info i get! I try to open it with mpeg streamclip.. Nothing. I try to open it in FCP.. wont read. I try to pull it into quicktime.. blank!

Only compresor and episode can handle it.

Now my question is.. what do i change to make 50i into 25i??

    Kissis and mpeg2-huggies.

I suspect your client doesn’t use terminology correctly. 50i means 25 fps with interlaced fields. 25i means 12.5 fps with interlaced fields.

I suspect your client doesn’t actually want to halve the frame rate.

Then i can only woooonder wtf he’s talking about?! :p

We can both agree that 12.5 frames is impossible to look at for broadcast. I then wonder what client meens,
    or wants?

If it is an mpeg2 for broadcast it should be 50i.

I can’t guess what your client wants. You will have to ask them.
