Just installed Primatte v3 and tried using on some DV footage w/ green screen. It keys the edges great but seriously alters the color out of the main image Im trying to keep, guess its sucking all of the green out of the entire footage. Has anyone had any luck with Primatte on DV and green screen?….I could sure use some help.

Primatte defaults at zero spill suppression. After tweeking all settings and trying the junk matte approach my key came out about the same as keying the same footage in Keylight. Maybe Im just wasting my time with Primatte. Thanks for the help though.

Have you switched to the “Matte” option under view? It sounds like primate is adding pixels from the inside of your subject to the matte, thereby adjusting the appearance of your color. Once you’ve keyed out your background you need to switch to “matte” view and clean up the inside of your subject that you don’t want to clean up. Hope this helps.
