Firstly, I am sorry if there is already a post on this. I’ve been trying to search the posts but I have had a few problems in doing so. My question is, is there anyway of animating an effect that looks like text is typing on screen over a period of time. I know about source text, but was wondering if there was a quicker way, because I have a lot of text to type!

    Thanks,

    Joe

Just type your text in the comp and then drag and drop in from the text effect window the effect called “typewriter”. Not sure what version you have but that effect is in 6.5 Pro.

[Storm Crow] “text effect window the effect called “typewriter”.”

But if you’d like to have a cursor, look for the Text Animation Presets Wordprocessor. You’ll find it within the Multi-line category.

    Hi,

You could still use the good old Text Path and animate the “Visible Characters” parameter under “Advanced.

    Salut.
