multi-format woes
I have a unique project, looking for some help- I have “behind the scenes” footage from a conference shot in SD 4:3 on a Sony PD170. Simple enough, until the client gave me 2 hard disks of HD 16:9 images also used during the conference from a separate video setup (the Image Mag/Closed Circuit Feed), and they want me to mix the images. So far my plan seems to be set up my sequence for the SD 4:3 (lowest of the qualities), and render in the HD 16:9 clips as needed. 3 questions:
1. Am I on the right track?
2. When exporting (DVD is end deliverable), is there a way to “conform” the entire piece to either 4:3 or 16:9? Ideally, I would love to give them a DVD of each if possible, and they can choose which they like.
3. Suggestions on what compression (if any) I should use?
I’m newer to using my FCP, Have 7.0.
Best,
