  • XDCAMEX video – Audio out of sync in exported Quicktime.

I don’t know what is causing this, but whenever I export a Quicktime from my timeline the resulting quicktime audio is out of sync, yet it plays just fine in Final Cut on the sequence.

    My content and settings:

    – Snow Leopard/ Latest Final Cut Studio
    – XDCAM EX1 video [1080p24]
    – mixed audio from sound designer/mixer (simple wav files)
    – export to Quicktime [audio and video using current settings)

as I said, all is well in final cut, no sync issues. the problem only shows up when I make a quicktime movie. So I can’t make DVDs because of this issue using DVDSP. I have to use my blackmagic multibridge pro 2 to output to a realtime dvd recorder (downresing).

Can anyone provide insight into this?

    Hi Tangier,
I am having the exact same problem you are describing. When I make a quicktime of my XDCAM EX1 project the audio is out of sync! I have to Fed Ex the film out today to a festival. Did you ever figure out what is causing this?

    Your advice is greatly appreciated!
    Suzan
