    OK… I’m not understanding 16×9 settings and FCP…

    I shoot in 16×9 with a Canon GL2
I capture the video in NTSC Firewire anamophoric

In FCP, the video sometimes goes to the timeline in 16×9, but then sometimes it doesn’t. I go into the item properties/format for the clip and click on anamophoric… that fixes it… at least for a while BUT THEN…. it CHANGES BACK and I have to change it in the item properties again!!!

    Why?? Why?? Why??

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Are you saying that sometimes you see it in widescreen and sometimes you see it squeezed?

Yes…. and if I don’t catch it, when I go into production, certain segments of the video are 4×3 because I didn’t catch it!
