HOW DO I GET TEXT TO LOOK LIKE ITS ROTATING AROUND A GLOBE. I TRIED THE CC SPHERE FILTER HOWEVER, THE TEXT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ITS COMING FROM BEHIND THE GLOBE.

    THANKS

Use CC Cylinder. You’ll need to have 2 layers of your text… One for thpart in front of the Globe, one for the part behind the globe. CC Cylinder allows you to just render the Inside or Outside of the effect. You’ll see what I mean when you start playing with the effect.

I would put the text in a pre-comp that is the exact same size as the layer used for the globe (including aspect ratio) Then apply the same filter to the comped layer and it should match up.

Not applicable here, but if you trying to do this in AE’s 3D space, I like this:

Just download the project and swap your text, one letter on each layer, and delete the layers that aren’t around the circumference. The expressions make expanding the sphere relatively easy.
