  FCP Capture correction

  The JVC 5100 GY dv camera was set on 16:9 anamorphic resulting with the captured footage squashed with black bars on the top and bottom. Is their any way in FCP5 enabling me to rectify the footage to full screen without having to scale up?

  Make sure that in FC the clips shows “Anamorphic” checked in the Browser window.
  In QT they will look distorted. That’s normal. QT display the pixels as Squared.
