New SHARE Problem
Posted by Jon Felix on September 23, 2009 at 9:43 pmArrgh! More SHARE problems (see my earlier posts). This time when trying to upload to YouTube I get: Share Failure. An internal error occurred: Apple Qmaster File Agent not found.
Any ideas?!

September 24, 2009 at 3:10 pmYar, I get that, too.
I’ve decided Share is useless so I don’t even bother with the menu any more.
Someday they’ll fix it, maybe.Be sure to fill out a form and drop it in the FCP FEEDBACK folder at apple.com.

September 24, 2009 at 4:48 pmMy share option also has never worked. Failed message. Read somewhere that if you have a quickcluster activated with your multicores then Share is disabled or just plain won’t work.

September 24, 2009 at 7:46 pmI’ve been playing with SHARE all morning. About half of the options work for half of my projects. Results are utterly inconclusive.
However, Flip4Mac may be part of the problem in may case. If I encode a 60 second piece from a DV timeline to full size WMV using just my old first gen Intel, it finishes in about 8 minutes. If I use my machine as as cluster, using Flip4Mac, the same file can take up to 20 minutes.
Going to other formats seems to actually benefit from a cluster but they also sometimes stop or never get started.
So…hardware on my end?

September 24, 2009 at 8:11 pm“…. quickcluster activated with your multicores …” Desperate for a solution as I am, I have no idea what you’re talking about 🙂 I’m an editor, not a computer tech, is there a solution out there for us humble editors?!

September 24, 2009 at 10:06 pmThere’s got to be a conflict with your Qmaster settings or another program. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
