  • Core 2 Extreme (quad) or Quad Core Xeons?

This may be a Ford-Chevy debate, but I am considering building a new system with either the (Quad) Core 2 Extreme (QX6700) or a pair of Quad Core Xeons (E5320 1.86GHz) with 4 GB of Ram (should it be 8GB?)

I work in the Adobe realm, AE, PPro, PS, all CS3.

Any thoughts or opinions or benchmarks?

    Thanks
    Randy

You need 2 gigs of ram per core —

    And they are all fast.
The quads will run faster than the duals in CS3, but also cost you more to run.
