I’m having an issue with capturing a large clip onto my comp through finalcut. I’d say the footage is about 40 minutes with no cuts, just one long take so to speak. When I press capture now the footage starts to capture, but by the time it finishes it’s not there. All my scratch disks are set correctly and the option to limit my time is not selected. So, I’m not sure why it won’t keep the long footage. I can capture footage that are small takes, just not the long takes. Anybody have the same issue in the past? Thank you

I don’t use Capture Now, but doesn’t it cut you off at 30 minutes. I think that’s the longest you capture for in that mode.

Why don’t you just set you in and out points for the 40 minutes?

The other problem might be that there’s a break in the time code.
