I’m trying to log and transfer from P2 cards. Everything is going pretty smoothly, except occasionally FCP is not picking a file every now and then. Seems to usually be either the 1st or last clip of series. Anyone? Is there a workaround?

    Thanks, Martha

Well, do you have some clips that say SPANNED? That means that the last clip from one card and the first clip from another are part of the same clip…so when FCP imports them, it joins them. In fact, you won’t see the first file on the second card because it is the second half of a clip on card 1…so FCP joins them.

    All is normal.

    Hi,

I’m having the same problem. Log and Transfer does not import the second clip of the spanned footage, so that I am missing footage.

I’ve tried just importing the spanned footage clip, but that doesn’t work either.

Help! I’m on a deadline on a big project.

    Thanks!!!

    Janet
