G5 iMac Power PC to LCD Monitor Dual Screen Editing
Not sure this is the best forum to post this question in but couldn’t find anything more appropriate.
I am planning on hooking up my 20″ G5 Power PC iMac up to a 23 inch samsung LCD monitor that has both DVI and VGA inputs.
Unfortunately my iMac is an older version with only the mini vga out so i am stuck having to go analog into the monitor.
Question is… will I notice much of a difference going analog into the monitor vs. if I were to have a mini dvi/mini display port going into the monitors DVI import?i hooked it up to my gf’s macbook that has a mini display output. it looks awesome obviously since it’s digital all the way through.
Only reason i was able to test it is because i bought the wrong adapter thinking my computer had a mini display port.So before I run back to the store and get the right analogue adapter I’m wondering how bad my analog signal is going to look compared to full digital into the LCD monitor and if there is anything i can do to improve the quality without getting a newer computer with digital output.
Thanks!
