  Boris Title Roll Flickers

  Hi All,

  When using Final Cut 7 & Boris Title Crawl generator to create a credit roll I get flickering text upon output to DVD & my production monitor via decklink HD Extreme. When I use exactly the same settings in Final Cut Pro 6 there is no flickering. Has someone else run into this problem, or has something changed within FCP7 that would cause this affect?
  I have enabled the deflicker option in Boris (which I do in FCP6 anyway) but it still flickers.

  All I can tell you is, yes, something fundamental has changed in the Boris titlers between 6 and 7. I can see it on my machine. Regardless of my field and render settings, Boris seems to only render as progressive.

  There have been other posts on other FCP forums but no one has reported any contact with Boris.

  Yep, my last DVD the titles (made with the Boris titler) looked pretty poor! No/low paying job and the client was ecstatic that there were titles and chapter markers for skipping around on the DVD!
