  IO HD users should not install Snow Leopard

  Just noticed that the current drivers will be ‘restricted’ on OSX 10.6, according to the following KB article:

  Of course – if you use an IO HD, you’re probably waiting for FCS3 drivers to be released as well before upgrading anything on your system. Just thought I’d warn anyone tempted…

  Oh – naturally, as others have mentioned here, you’d want to clone your system drive anyway before doing this in case of problems, and I realise people will not want Snow Leopard on their main systems yet, but I thought I’d let some users know it’s not worth even trying this yet – especially as many try this updates on laptop systems first…

  This doesn’t matter to me unfortunately.

  I have a Power PC that is apparently not supported in Snow Leopard.

  Guess I am getting a new computer, thats if I want to stay updated on my OS.

  Don’t see any drivers from AJA. Or ATTO or Areca for that matter so my upgrade will be strictly limited to the laptop. The other 9 copies of Snow Leopard will have to wait for the manufacturers to figure out what’s up.

  ATTO drivers for 32 and 64 bit Snow Leopard are now available. The new drivers may require a firmware and BIOS update to the cards as well.
