  New ProRes with alpha. Available for machine without FCP?

  I have a guy rendering animations with alpha…he’s on a machine without FCP. Can he get the new prores 444 that carries alpha just by itself or only with FCP?

  If you install Qmaster on that machine it will have ProRes 4444 codec installed on it (I confirmed this), but I don’t know if will actually export.

  Give it a try. BTW, Qmaster Install is in the Extras folder on your FCP install DVD.
